A waffle style 150mm foam polishing pad, with 'hook and loop' backing, made from medium/heavy cut foam - suitable for intensive polishing and cutting of paint. The waffle design reduces the chance of pad ‘sling’ (splatter) and can help lower cutting temperatures - but beware... heavy cut foam like this likes to run hot!
As you may expect, this pad offers an aggressive cut and should not be used on soft paints without the necessary expertise. Use the Waffle Red foam for a more gentle cut, if a 'starting' pad is required. And if you have an an orbital/DA machine, you should opt for a Supernatural Microfibre Cutting Pad, as foam cutting pads are best used with rotary machines.
Suits 120mm-130mm (5 inch) backing plates.
Please note that pads should always be stopped/started on the panel, removed gently from the backing plate and washed carefully with mild detergent (don't let it soak overnight) to prevent premature delamination of the hook and loop backing from the pad. Do not let heavy cut foam pads get too hot as they could delaminate. Panel temperatures should always be cool enough to touch.
To maintain, simply massage neat washing up liquid into the foam pad cutting face under a running tap, then rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry.
