Two’s company, and in this case, it's also the secret to swirl-free paintwork.

The Twin Twenties Kit gives you two roomy 20-litre buckets – one for your soapy wash water and one for rinsing your mitt clean.

Each bucket includes a dirt guard to help keep dirt away from your mitt, so you’re not lovingly grinding yesterday’s road muck back into your paint.

  • Two 20L buckets - one for wash, one for rinse, for swirl-free washing
  • See through bucket design shows you how dirty your water is getting... if it gets too dark, replace the water
  • Dirt guards help keep grit particles away from your washmitt during the whole process
  • Stackable, so they won't take up too much room
  • Tough, yet flexible material - just avoid placing full buckets on sharp stones or uneven ground
  • Stickers applied loose so they can be affixed where you want (or not at all)
  • 2x 20L buckets
  • 2x dirt guards (black)
  1. Fill one bucket with clean rinse water and the other with warm water and your favourite shampoo
  2. Dunk your wash mitt in the shampoo solution, then wash a section of your car (we suggest cleanest areas first, top to bottom, front to back!)
  3. Rinse the mitt thoroughly in the rinse water, then go again
  4. If you didn't do your wheels first with separate wash and rinse solution, leave them to the end - they're likely to be the grubbiest part of your car

Wash this way, the two bucket method or 2BM/TBM, and you’re always working with the cleanest possible water – rather than dragging dirt particles onto your paint (where they'll dry as smears or even cause micro-scratching)

Why two buckets?
One holds soapy water, the other is your rinse bucket. This prevents dirty water from saturating your paint, reducing smears, swirls and scratches.

How do the dirt guards work?
The dirt guards have holes to allow dirt to sink to the base of the bucket, and fins to prevent the dirt circulating freely in the upper area of the bucket. When you grab fresh wash solution, it should have less dirt in than would otherwise be the case. You can use them in wash and rinse buckets - the less dirt near a mitt at any time, the better.

Suitable for wheels too?
Absolutely. Just get fresh wash solution and refresh the rinse bucket. Wheels are particularly dirty. Or do the wheels last at the end of the wash stage if you don't want to refill the buckets. Whilst there's more chance of swirls, they are less likely to be visible on wheels.

How do I clean the buckets after use?
Just take the dirt guards out and rinse out any grit particles at the base of each bucket. Don't stack them until they are dry or they may be difficult to unstick.
