Stripp-Ex isn't about your former partner dancing at the pink pony club, it's about stripping off your old wax or sealant layer - or filling residues during machine polishing.

Left a sealant on too long? Old wax layer clinging on for dear life? Or maybe you just want to know if that “perfect finish” is polish doing the work, or just the oils it left behind. Stripp-Ex doesn’t mess about – it strips surfaces bare so you can see what’s really going on. Oils, fillers, waxes, sealants… if it’s sitting on your paint, this solvent’s coming for it.

  • Strong solvent blend for deep cleaning
  • Improves bonding of waxes, sealants, and coatings
  • Removes oils, fillers, and residues
  • Large 1L spray for whole-car prep

Information coming soon, see Mr Skittles for details.

  1. Make sure paint is cool and dry.
  2. Spray Stripp-Ex onto a clean microfibre cloth.
  3. Wipe over the panel evenly.
  4. Allow solvent to fully flash off.
  5. Apply wax, sealant, or coating afterwards.

Will Stripp-Ex remove ceramic coatings?
No – it’s a solvent wipe, not a miracle worker. Nano-ceramic coatings are far too durable and will need machine polishing to be removed properly.

Can I use Stripp-Ex on fresh paint or SMART repairs?
Definitely not. It’s a strong solvent and could cause damage. Only use on fully cured, healthy paintwork.

Can I use it between polishing stages?
Yes – that’s one of its best uses. It removes polishing oils and fillers so you can see the actual correction you’ve achieved, not a gloss illusion.

Will it improve the durability of waxes and sealants applied afterwards?
Yes. By removing glaze oils and contaminants, Stripp-Ex helps new products bond directly to clean paint, which usually means better longevity.

Do I spray it directly on the panel?

You can, but it’s safer to spray onto a clean microfibre cloth first and then wipe the panel. Less chance of over-saturation or dripping into places it doesn’t belong.

Will Stripp-Ex make my paint shinier?
Nope. Quite the opposite – it’ll usually look flatter because it’s stripped away anything hiding defects. If gloss is what you’re after, you’ll need polish or glaze afterwards.

Can it damage plastics or trims?
It’s a strong solvent, so avoid spraying directly onto plastics or rubber trims. If overspray happens, wipe it off straight away.
