Can I use Flies Undone on bird mess as well as bugs?
Yes – it’s made for both; each may contain hard debris that can scratch paint. And there's probably even more reason to use it for bird mess than bugs, bird droppings are often more destructive to paint than insect remains... the sooner you remove it, the better.
Why not just use an APC or citrus cleaner?
They’ll shift the contamination, but they don’t have the same built-in lubrication. That means more risk of swirl marks during removal.
So I could just use a Quick Detailer instead?
Of course, you could gently remove bugs and bird mess with a detailing spray, these lack the strong chemical performance of a strong and focussed decontamination product.
Is it safe on glass and windscreens?
Technically yes, but it may leave smears. If you do use it on glass, follow up with a proper glass cleaner like Clearly Menthol to get rid of any residue.
How do I use it?
See 'How to Use' but in essence, spray onto cool bodywork, let it dwell for a few minutes, then rinse off. For stubborn spots, apply neat and gently wipe with a cloth. Don’t let it dry on the surface.
Will it strip my wax or sealant?
Flies Undone is a strong and effective cleaner and will attack weaker or less stable finishes; if in doubt use Mint Condition detailing spray instead.
Can I use Flies Undone as a quick detailer?
No – it’s not designed for that. It’s far too strong for regular Quick Detailer duties. Grab Mint Condition if you want to remove mild contamination and add a little shine.
