Fibre Scyther - Microfibre Orbital Cutting Pad 135mm (5.5 inch)

• Microfibres offer mid to heavy cut with orbital machines without raising panel temps unduly or delaminating (unlike heavy cut foam pads!)
• Firm backing to transmit cut from machine, whilst ensuring a flat cutting face
• Rinse under a running tap with washing-up liquid to clean, then air dry
• 135mm pad for use with 125mm backing plates
• Durable hook-and-loop backing

Use for medium to heavy cutting on orbital (DA) machines with the correct polish and technique for the paint/defect in hand. Not recommended for rotary polishers (use wool pad/jheavier cut foam instead).

What backing plate size does it fit?
Use it with a 125mm plate.

Is it aggressive in terms of cut?
Microfibre pads are capable of mid to heavy cut, but the performance depends on the polish, machine and technique used in combination with the pad. Think of it as a heavier cut pad for orbital use instead of reaching for a heavy cut orange foam etc.

How do I clean it?
Rinse under a running tap with neat washing up liquid, massage the fibres until free of polishing dust, rinse and then air dry.

Will it work on a rotary?
Microfibre pads are designed for orbital/DA machines, use a wool pad or heavy cut foam pad with a rotary.

Does it finish down well?
Microfibre pads can finish down fairly well, but always follow it up with a mid or soft pad/polish combination for better refinement.
