Fallout - small iron particles from brake discs, not the nuclear stuff from your video game - falls silently onto car paintwork and then gets rubbed deeper and deeper in every wash.

Ferrous Dueller removes it by dissolving it in a flurry of purple streakiness. And it even smells marginally better than other iron removers thanks to a 'lower odour' active ingredient. Still pongs mind you.

  • Full-strength formula, not watered down like some high street versions
  • pH-neutral to help keep sensitive finishes safe from damage
  • Lower odour formulation minimises unpleasant smell
  • Enhanced with surfactants for boosted cleaning power beyond just iron removal
  • Improved cling formula increases dwell time for better results
  • Works on both paintwork decontamination and wheel cleaning
  • Reduces clay bar workload by removing iron contaminants first
  • Specifically effective on brake dust (mostly ferrous contamination)
  1. Ensure the surface is cool and out of direct sunlight
  2. Spray Ferrous Dueller onto the contaminated surface
  3. Allow to dwell until the purple colour change occurs
  4. Work areas with heavier contamination with a wheel brush, if needed (wheels)
  5. Rinse thoroughly with water once the reaction is complete
  6. Follow up with clay bar if necessary for remaining contaminants
  7. Can be used on both paintwork and wheels

Will this completely replace clay bar treatment?
No - it reduces clay bar workload but won't remove all types of contamination.

Why does it still have some smell?

The active ingredient that causes the purple reaction naturally has an odour, but ours is minimised.

Is it safe on all paint or wheel types?
Being a pH-neutral formulation means that it is generally safer than acid or alkali products, although some wheel finishes are so poor even a mild chemical can stain them. Always apply products judiciously and with caution and check on an inconspicuous area first.

How long should I leave it on?
Until the purple colour change reaction is complete, or as dark as it will get. This is usually a few minutes, but never let the product dry on. Remove it earlier if needed.

Can I use it in direct sunlight?
This is not recommended - work in shade on cool surfaces as you don't want it to dry on.

What makes it different from similar sounding alternatives?

Ours is a full-strength formula; we literally can't make a concentrate! However it's easy for other companies to water products down and whilst these products still change colour they do so slower and with less iron-dissolving effect. Using a weak product many times over to get the desired effect is a waste of time for the same (or potentially higher) cost. Not the Dodo way.
