Is it powerful enough for swirl removal?
Yes, but you'll need the right pad and polish combo to use with it. But 900W means enough torque to deal with even the hardest paint types. However, it won't remove all defects, all the time - and you could even cause more damage to your paint attempting to correct ones that are too deep.
Can I use it with 3” pads?
Yes, just fit the smaller backing plate that comes with the kit.
How noisy is it?
Machine polishers are never quiet; the Buff Daddy Evo is about as loud as a hairdryer on full power.
Is it safe for beginners?
Machine polishing can easily be learned but it needs a cautious and educated technique - especially at the start. This machine is ideal for beginners but they should be open to investigating machine polishing techniques.
Does it get really hot in use?
Not when used with the correct pad and polish combination and machine polishing techniques, always keep it to moderate speed settings and adjust the process first rather than the power.
Does it vibrate a lot?
No, this is a balanced machine so whilst it will still vibrate due to its orbital nature, it will not vibrate too heavily and will be pleasant to use. However, we do not recommended it is used for extended periods of time, especially if you have circulatory issues.
Can you strike through or burn paint with this machine?
Any machine can endanger paint but if the correct techniques, pads and polishes are used, your paint will be safe. This is a clutched orbital machine so safer than a direct drive rotary. Heat build up on the panel is spread out rather than focussed.
What is the warranty?
We provide a 2 year warranty with this machine, subject to normal usage and excluding wear and tear.
Can I buy further motor brushes and other spares like backing plates from you?
No, currently we cannot provide additional motor brushes but there is a spare set in with each machine, which would mean many years of amateur use. Backing plates will not delaminate or need replacing with normal use but spares can often be found on third party sites.
