Purple Haze has been one of the best-selling Dodo Juice waxes from the moment it was launched, and although the recipe has improved over the years, we felt it was time to take it to a whole new level. So we added even more carnauba and some of the sealant ingredients found in Red Mist spray sealant, and voila! A supercharged version of this legendary wax with even more staying power and a crisper, more reflective, look. No wonder the pro detailers took a shine to it.
In terms of its purpleness, expect a 2-4% dye tint on paintwork - it won't be that noticeable but it is there and it does darken the original finish. Metallics/pearlescents are going to enjoy the best results here. Recoating interval is a recommended 3-4 months (about a month longer than standard Purple Haze... for even more performance, try Black Widow).
Hard vs Soft Wax - which is the one for you? Whilst many of our waxes have a standard consistency, we make some of our waxes a little firmer or softer than normal. Softer waxes are easier to spread by palm or fingertips. Hard waxes often cure faster and go further, because they are less likely to be accidentally over-applied. Both contain similar amounts of carnauba and beeswax and performance will be similar. Harder waxes may cure better if you are new to waxing, so these may seem to offer more performance. And soft waxes may feel glossier due to their 'sorbet' like texture. It often comes down to personal preference - there's no right or wrong with wax texture, it just comes down to what you like.
