Detailing World/Dodo Juice Double Wax Soft 30ml - soft car wax
Detailing World is a forum with over 70,000 members who all know a thing or two about keeping cars clean. So a few years ago we developed a special two stage LSP (Last Step Product) for them: Double Wax.
The wax comes in two types, often sold together as a pack. The firmer peppermint 'Hard' wax is a hybrid wax/sealant that goes on first, initiating a good bond with the paint. Then you apply the oilier spearmint 'Soft' carnauba wax for added gloss.
You don't have to double up with Double Wax, though - even if it's the obvious thing to do... this spearmint 'Soft' wax works nicely on its own and you'll get 3-4 applications out of this 30ml jar.
But why not add the other jar to your basket and use the wax as our boffins (and Detailing World) intended?
Hard vs Soft Wax - which is the one for you? Whilst many of our waxes have a standard consistency, we make some of our waxes a little firmer or softer than normal. Softer waxes are easier to spread by palm or fingertips. Hard waxes often cure faster and go further, because they are less likely to be accidentally over-applied. Both contain similar amounts of carnauba and beeswax and performance will be similar. Harder waxes may cure better if you are new to waxing, so these may seem to offer more performance. And soft waxes may feel glossier due to their 'sorbet' like texture. It often comes down to personal preference - there's no right or wrong with wax texture, it just comes down to what you like.
